We operate a free resource store out of Grace Church in Loveland every 1st and 3rd Wednesday night of the month from 7-8:30pm. Our mission is to provide hope by helping the whole person. This means that we not only do we provide free food and toiletry items, but also offer opportunities for relational and spiritual support. If you are interested in volunteering, there are two ways you can get involved.
1. Filling up a yellow bag and bringing it back to church on Sunday. (See ‘Yellow Bag Ministry’ below for more information.)
2. Sign up to volunteer on one of the Wednesday evenings The Solomon Center is open. We meet around 5:30 to set up, serve from 6:00-7:30. If you can’t get there at 5:30, join us when you can. Contact Sandi Horine to sign up or for any questions: 652-1205, sandi.horine@yahoo.com.
Directions to The Solomon Center from Loveland High School: Right on Rich Road, right onto West Loveland Avenue, left on Lebanon Road, left onto Kerr Cemetery Road, church is on the left. Grace Church is located at 11020 S. Lebanon Rd. Loveland, OH 45140. (Click Address for Map.)
Yellow Bag Ministry: Every year we see the attendance at the Solomon Center increase and therefore we’re on pace to give out more food/toiletries than our budget will allow. Therefore, we’re asking for help with this obstacle. To help, you can pick up a yellow bag any Sunday from the hallway rack by the info tables at Northstar, take home, fill it up with what’s listed on the paper sheet stapled to it, and bring back any Sunday morning. You can drop off the filled bags by the yellow bag rack. These items will help us in continuing to run the Solomon Center.
Don’t have a yellow bag but are ready to go shopping?

Why the ‘Solomon’ Name?
1. King Solomon of the Old Testament chose wisdom: when God offers Solomon the chance to choose great worldly power, Solomon chooses Godly wisdom instead. Though we do provide external relief, we believe the real gift The Solomon Center provides is pointing people to the internal wisdom and love of God. (1 Kings 3:4-15)
2. The fall of King Solomon: even the great King Solomon failed in his lifetime. The tragic fall of this great king reminds us that anyone can stumble and encounter hard times…even those of us running this ministry. So with this reminder, let’s be encouraged not to judge those we serve, knowing we too (like Solomon) can fall at any time. (1 Kings 11:1-13)
3. Solomon’s Porch: in the New Testament, a section of the Jerusalem Temple is referred to as Solomon’s Colonnade (or porch). It was at this location that many great Godly things were taught, done, seen, and experienced. Our hope is that The Solomon Center is a place that provides this same type of spiritual encouragement and growth. (Acts 5:12)
